Cyrusher Rover Skill School Review

Just looking at the Cyrusher Rover’s stance makes you feel a little intimidated, will it bite back when it is pushed to the limits?
Cyrusher have several models available, I chose the more entry level Rover, a radical looking 250w full suspension fat tyre monster with a torque sensor.
Unboxing and building was a cinch, all the tools were supplied, it took around 35 minutes.

Build quality and specs
Although the Rover is an entry level full suspension E Bike, it is well-equipped with good build quality, solid tight welds on the Aluminium frame and blemish free paintwork.
Running a 7 speed Shimano Altro gear set, 180mm front and rear Logan hydraulic disc brakes on 180mm rotors.
The front forks appear to be a generic unbranded type used on all fat tyre e bikes, however I did notice it has a bigger 130mm travel compared to my other E bikes.

Talking the Torque
The Cyrusher Rover has a Torque Sensor compared to most that have a Cadence sensor, in short, the Torque sensor requires input from the rider to get the most power out, the Cadence sensor just need pedal motion to operate the motor.
The Cyrusher Rover was delivered in the UK compliant mode, no throttle and the electrical assistance cuts off when you reach 16Mph, silly law I know, but that’s politicians for you, they were probably bullied at school.

Fixtures and fittings

The Cyrusher Rover has a full LED lighting kit and some really neat integrated rear brake lights which work with the front and rear brakes.
The rear suspension is functional, as with the front I would have liked to see air assisted front and rear, I believe this is available on the higher Ranger model.
Weight and handling
This bike is a beast, it weighs in at around 86Lb, which is quite difficult to lift, a lot of the weight is within the rear suspension and the massive 52 volt battery.
I found when riding the Cyrusher Rover the weight was not an issue, it felt manageable and nimble, even through the tight twisties.
OK, let’s be honest, this bike is not made for jumps and stunts, it’s made for fun without pushing the limits.

Battery life

I did the full review and filmed in several different places and the battery bar did not drop, I guess mileage depends on what pedal assist level you choose, there is no chance of using PAS 0 because this is a big bike with big tyres which cause a lot of rolling resistance.
On the road I used PAS 3 and climbing those big hills PAS 5.
