Goyojo Sentra 315 Thermal Imaging Scope
Skill School Review

Prepare for the next level!
If you are thinking this is just another night vision scope, you may be surprised !
The Goyojo Sentra 315 is a Thermal imaging scope, and this takes night vision to another realm.
In fact, it’s not just night vision, it is day vision as well.

Small and compact
The Sentra 315 fits into the palm of your hand and is powered by just 1 rechargeable battery, 2 batteries are supplied along with an external charger, or it can be charged onboard using the USB-C port. Expect to get 3 to 5 hours out of a charge. This charging port is situated next to the SD card slot, yes, this thermal imaging scope can also record sound and video!
Functionality / Ease of use
This Goyojo scope is so easy to use, the instruction manual is good enough to get you up and running within just a few minutes.
The image through the scope is crystal clear once correctly focused, the biggest feature is the colour palettes, there are 6 to choose from. They all have different roles to make your thermal image suit the environment.

The colour pallettes are activated by pressing the M button and are on a rolling carrousel, a long press on the buttons also give you access to expert settings and features, which is explained in more detail via the video at the bottom of this review.

Thermal image at long distance
This really impressed me, the Sentra 315 image has a default zoom, plus 3 other zoom levels, the default zoom makes viewing close images difficult, I would have preferred a natural viewing scale, like a camera lens.
Below you can see the person sat on the bench in pitch darkness, and the actual distance in daylight through the naked eye, I think it is a 1x zoom.
However, the thermal image quality at distance was outstanding.

Below you can see the fire at the farmyard (filmed in daylight), clearly displaying the areas of heat, once again, this is the zoomed out image of the scope compared to what you see through the naked eye.

Video image quality
With every profile selected, the scope will need a little fine-tuning on the focus, it may also be worth noting that the in-built video has no stabilization, so it is essential that you keep as still as possible for the best images.
The video quality is very good – Frame width 1800 x Frame height 1080.
The stop / start record is accessed by a quick press of the power button.

Final thoughts
I have to say I am no expert when it cones to thermal imaging, in fact this is the first time I have ever used such a product.
This little scope really impressed me, up until now I had no idea that this level of tech would be available to the average person, when I compare thermal imaging to my classic night vision it is Apples and Oranges, the thermal is on a whole new level. As you will see in my demonstration video below.
