Night vision on a budget
I remember many years back paying nearly £3000 for a top of the range night vision scope, technology has moved on so fast and products have now become more affordable, take this Goyojo GNG 2K night vision scope for example.

Image quality
With all night vision units image quality depends on many things, ambient light and distance are the most important.
The GNG2k scope has 4 levels of IR which work very well in complete darkness.
Here you can see my German Shepherd without any problem, just using IR1.
Looking at this still from my video footage, I have 2 observations.
1. The video image is not as clear as what you are actually seeing in real time.
2. I should have used the focus ring to sharpen up the image.
Size, weight, functionality
The Goyojo GNK2K weighs in at only 850g, so can easily slip into your pocket or backpack, its perfect for outdoor pursuits such as hunting, fishing, rescue, animal watching and security.
The 4 colour pallets are: Fluorescent Green, White Phosphor, Black & White and Normal. I preferred the normal mode, it just simplifies things.
I found the side buttons easy to access in the dark and the menu easy to navigate without needing the manual, however the manual is quite well written and in good English.
There is also a QR code to download the App for extra features.
The unit is supplied with 2 rechargeable batteries and charger, the unit can also support on-board charging via the USB C cable supplied.
Also supplied is a 16Gb memory card
Tactical Helmet accessories
Also supplied with the Goyojo GNG2k are a range of accessories to mount the scope onto a tactical helmet, this is something I would never use, but it would have been nice to see a 1/4 inch tripod mount somewhere on the body for mounting a camera or tripod mounting. As the unit has no image stabilizer feature.
